Tea Leaf Play Dough

Homemade modeling clay and play dough

Tea Leaf Play Dough

Uses the tea leaves left over from your iced tea bags. This dough is good for small pieces and beads that you want to have a stone-like appearance.

Ingredients:
4 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon water
approximately 2 tablespoons used tea leaves

Directions:
1. Mix the flour, salt, and water in a bowl.
2. Then add as many of the tea leaves as the dough will hold without getting crumbly and falling apart.
3. Knead the mixture into a smooth, firm ball of dough.
4. Use as you would other clays and allow to air dry.

Variation: use crumbled, dried flower petals in place of the used tea leaves.

*Children should always be supervised when preparing or cooking in the kitchen.
